Business Procedure Development

Identifying and developing business procedures tailored to the individual practice. Business procedures take the doubt out of what procedure should be followed and allows consistency within the practice environment.

Business procedures can include areas such as the billing policy of the practice, how the mail is handled, infection control procedures, how to undertake the sterilisation process, monitoring stock and medical samples, expectations of staff etc.

Document establishment and/or development of financial reporting system

Review of existing financial reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely information. MPM can assist in the development and establishment of a financial reporting system tailored to the needs of the practice and business structure.

 This can be as simple as identifying key reports required by the practice or implementation of a comprehensive accounting package such as MYOB or QuickBooks.

Review and Optimize Existing business procedures and systems

MPM has a commitment to ensuring business systems and procedures are analysed and fully optimised. MPM will assist in the training of key staff members who utilise these systems.

It is necessary to ensure that the existing business procedures are producing the required outcome. As part of the process, ongoing review of both procedures and systems will ensure continuous improvement is achieve.


Computerisation can be minimal or extensive in a practice environment. MPM will work with the practice to obtain the optimal level of computerisation.

Accreditation Compliance

MPM will assist in the implementation of procedures and documentation to comply with accreditation and RACGP guidelines. MPM has a registered accreditation surveyor on staff who can assist with any questions. A site audit can be undertaken to identify any areas of concern. Education and training of staff and doctors in major issues relating to accreditation is available, ensuring the practice maintains it’s accreditation status and the relevant government funding.
